The Burgos Tennis Foundation is a Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) dedicated to evening the educational and athletic playing field for San Francisco Bay Area youth from diverse backgrounds through an education and life skills based high performance tennis training. We use tennis' unique active learning experiences to inspire character development, self-discovery and problem solving. Our "Tennis is Life" and "Team" philosophies set us apart from other tennis training programs because we stress the unique life skills learned from training, competing and being part of a team. There is no passing the ball or subbing out in tennis. These life skills developed through tennis are used in their education and their personal lives. As a result, we are most proud of the fact that Burgos Tennis has 100% success rate of our student athletes going on to college!
We are a Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) community tennis and educational outreach program that provides private tennis coaching, high performance tennis training, tutoring, mentoring, educational skills development and college placement. We also provide both competition team, recreational and individual tennis programs for adults and juniors. We provide scholarships to juniors in need who meet our academic standards with training costs to help them reach their goals. We also help our players through the college recruiting process to make sure they choose the best possible schools for their goals.
Executive Director Antonio Burgos has coached hundreds of sectionally and nationally ranked players. His focus has always been to develop the whole individual. Burgos considers his greatest accomplishments have been the hundreds of athletes who have gone on to college, successful careers and more importantly compassionate individuals. Our athletes have transferred the skills that made them successful tennis players into successful students, professionals and human beings. Some of the these skills we develop are:

Mentoring and College Placement Guidance
All of our players are preparing for college. We play a part in helping them meet their goals of attending the school of their choice. We have our former student athletes who are now college graduates and professionals available to mentor our players. For students looking to play collegiate tennis, we promote our student athletes through our network of college coaches, advise and assist our students in communications with their short list of schools and prepare our students for the challenges of being a collegiate tennis player.
We are proud to say that every player who has graduated from our program has gone on to college. Some notable schools our players have gone on to attend include:
